Four Arrested Over New Year's Weekend

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports, On Saturday, December31st 2022 Sgt. Ryan Meagher stopped a vehicle near Schulenburg for a traffic infraction. The Driver was found to have an active warrant out of Fayette County for Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Member. Marie Hranicky, 33 of Schulenburg, was arrested for this warrant.
At approximately 9:51pm that same day, Deputy Jared Michalec stopped a vehicle in the West Point Area for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle was found to be in possession of cocaine. Hadiya Bishop, 24 of Kileen, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Shortly after at 10:26pm, Sgt. Ryan Meagher stopped a vehicle in the Engle Area for a traffic infraction. The passenger of the vehicle was found to be in possession of cocaine. Jorge Colunga-Cardona,29, of San Antonio, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled substance.
On January 1st at approximately 2:30am, Deputies Austin Moore and Jared Michalec responded to a welfare concern at the river bridge near the bottom of the bluff. Deputies located the Subject who was intoxicated. The 36 year old LaGrange Female was placed into custody for Public Intoxication.
