Illegal Dumping reported in Giddings
Recently, the Giddings Independent School District reported an illegal dumping case to Lee County Sheriff Garrett Durrenberger. Surveillance cameras captured a male suspect dumping the contents of a large U-Haul truck into three dumpsters at Giddings High School; without permission.Lee County Sheriff's Office criminal investigators were able to identify the suspect and obtain a confession. A warrant was issued for Tatum Dillard, 31, of Austin for the offense of illegal dumping, state jail felony.
On Monday evening, June 8, 2026, a complainant reported an illegal dumping case that occurred at the Yegua Creek off of County Road 117.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office Patrol Division responded to meet with the complainant and investigate two bags of household garbage that were located in the creek. Deputies were able to identify the suspect and obtain a confession. A citation was issued to a 17 year old male of Dime Box, for the offense of illegal dumping, Class "C" Misdemeanor.
