Vehicle Thefts in Fayette County

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that a crime spree occurred during the early morning hours on Monday. The Fayette County Sheriff's Office received three separate reports of vehicles being stolen in the Country Club area, as well as one in the city of LaGrange. One vehicle has been recovered at this time. There was also a report of a vehicle being burglarized in the same area. Anyone with any camera footage of the area is urged to check to see any suspicious activity likely between midnight to 3am.
As a reminder the Sheriff's Office encourages the community to keep your vehicles secured when parked, even at your residence. Also remove your keys and key fobs from the vehicle when parked as failing to do so make the vehicles exceptionally easy to steal.
