VELLA "DORIS" WASHINGTON AGE 80 OF LINCOLN

A service will be held on Saturday, September 5, at New Corinth Baptist Church in Giddings. Doris will be laid to rest in Antioch Cemetery in Ledbetter, following the service. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. The Washington family will be present for visitation and be receiving visitors from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

She is survived by her husband, John L. Washington of Lincoln; her two sons, Stevie Washington and his wife, Kecia of Lincoln and Lionel Washington of Lincoln; her two daughters-in-law, Renae Washington of Lexington and Corina Washington of Lincoln; her sister, Floyce (Coleman) Burns of Dime Box; her two brothers, Rev. H.C. Coleman and his wife, Annie of Buda and Howard Coleman and his wife, Annell of Mesquite, as well as a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and friends.
