TxDOT Closure Updates For La Grange

TxDOT will be finalizing Phase 1 of the US 77 rehabilitation project in La Grange, with the roadway being opened to traffic prior to Labor Day weekend. There will still be various work items (Sidewalks, Driveways, Striping, etc.) to be completed with minimal impact to traffic.
Phase 2 of this project will be starting on September 14th, 2026 - weather permitting. This phase will involve closing the bluff for EIGHT DAYS to remove and replace the existing roadway surface from FM 155 to the Colorado River Bridge. Local landowners that live on the bluff will maintain property access throughout the closure.
Phase 3 will start at the conclusion of the Phase 2 bluff closure. This last phase will involve nightly lane closures to rehab the existing roadway from the Colorado River Bridge to BS 71 (Travis Street). Nightly lane closures are currently scheduled to occur from 7:00PM - 6:00AM and this phase will take approximately ONE MONTH to complete.
