SCAM ALERT

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that, someone is calling citizens of Fayette County and claiming to be from the Fayette County Sheriff's Office and stating that the person has warrants and we are collecting fees over the phone. This is not a normal practice and we would not notify anyone via phone about warrants or to collect any fees. Similar incidents were reported in Colorado County Last Week. Please do not fall victim by giving anyone your personal or bank information!
