According to Fayette Co. Sheriff Keith Korenek, on Friday February 9th at approximately 11:00om, Sgt. Ryan Meagher conducted a traffic stop on a 2011 white Infiniti on SH-71 near Loop 220 for an equipment violation. After further investigation, Meagher allegedly located cocaine which was concealed inside of the dashboard behind the car radio. The driver and sole occupant Erick Mendez-Morales (38) of Weimar, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
