Wind Advisory in Effect

A Wind Advisory is in effect for all of South Central Texas for northwesterly winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. The coldest air of the winter season, thus far, across South Central Texas will arrive on Sunday Morning and continue through early next week. Portions of the Hill Country and northern Austin area could be below freezing from Sunday morning through Wednesday Morning. Wind chills will be in the single didgits and teens in many areas each morning and could fall below zero in portions of the Hill Country and Austin Area on Tuesday Morning. There are chances for freezing drizzle or light freezing rain across mainly eastern portions of the region Sunday evening through Monday Morning. Light accumulations of ice of up to a few hundredths of an inch are possible on bridges, overpasses, and elevated roadways and surfaces. By midday Monday, any impacts should end as ice sublimates due to dry, breezy conditions, and patchy sunshine.
