Giddings pedestrian dies after being hit by Vehicle

According to Giddings Times & News, A 57 year old Giddings man was killed after being hit by a vehicle while trying to walk across a busy highway just after dark. Local Police Officers were dispatched at 6:11pm to an Automobile-Pedestrian Accident at the intersection of Hwy 77 and Richmond Street, just west of Giddings City Hall. Lee County EMS was called to the scene but the pedestrian had already died from his injuries. The pedestrian was later identified as Billy Joe Daniels of Giddings who was reportedly worked for as a drilling hand in the Oil Field industry. The driver of the vehicle was not injured. A Graveside Service for Daniels will be held on Friday, January 12 at 2pm.
