Subject arrested on Warrants in Schulenburg

On Tuesday, November 28, at approximately 4:56pm, Schulenburg Officers and Deputies responded to the Schulenburg Liquor Store for a report of s suspect in a recent theft being there.
Contact was made with the subject who provided Officers with a fictitious name and date of birth as Officers already knew his identity. A check of his real name showed him to have multiple warrants from multiple agencies.
The subject was arrested on the warrants and a search of his backpack was conducted. Inside of the backpack, Officers located a loaded 9mm handgun, a checkbook which was not supposed to be issued to him with a forged check, and multiple items of drug paraphernalia. Contact was made with the owner of the checkbook and it was confirmed he did not have permission to have it. Eddie King (36), of Weimar, was arrested on the following charges then transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.
