Blood identified after a year from a Vandalization

Officers of the Hallettsville Police Department responded to the 1600 Blk N Texans St in reference to a report of Criminal Mischief a year ago. On arrival, it was learned a truck was being sold and multiple windows were broken out on it along with seats being slashed. The HPD officer discovered smeared blood on the center console. The HPD Officer swabbed the smeared blood and sent it off to the Texas Department of Public Safety Lab to see if a suspect could be located. This past Monday, November 27th, the Texas DPS lab revealed a positive match for a 47 year old male of Hallettsville. The adult male (47) is now being charged for Criminal Mischief.
