Fuel Theft in Flatonia

Flatonia Police Department reports, a few local Flatonia businesses have experienced diesel theft recently. Excellent Security footage provided information to the investigation and the Flatonia Police Department implemented close patrols for these businesses. This week, the Police received information of a suspicious vehicle near a business that had previously experienced diesel fuel theft. An officer quickly arrived and apprehended three subjects for Organized Criminal Activity and Theft of a Petroleum Product because this vehicle was associated with another businesses fuel theft. Later, a second vehicle known to be associated with the fuel thefts was located in a local neighborhood. Both vehicles have been taken into police custody.
The Flatonia Police Department is working with several agencies and the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts Office regarding this large scale investigation.
