Traffic Stop at the Texan in Schulenburg

On Tuesday, August 22, at approximately 0205 hrs, Officers conducted a traffic stop at the Texan on a 2004 white in color Lexus Sedan displaying a fake buyers tag. As Officers approached the vehicle, drug paraphernalia was observed in plain view. Once at the drivers door, a handgun was observed in plain view at the drivers feet.
After getting the driver out of the vehicle, a probable cause search was conducted. More than 100 THC Vape Pens and more the 2 ounces of Marijuana were located. There were also scales, packaging materials, and US currency found in the vehicle consistent with the sale of narcotics.
Jacob Estrada (18) of Lake Jackson was arrested for Man/Del Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and Unlawful Carrying a Weapon, then transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center for booking.
