Traffic Stop in LaGrange

Sheriff Keith Korenek Reports that in the early morning hours of Monday 8/21/23 Deputy Arrison initiated a traffic stop on Highway 71 in the LaGrange Area for a traffic violation. During a consent search of the vehicle Deputy Arrison located a small bag containing methamphetamine and a smoking pipe.
Arrested was Lance Fontenot, age 47 of Lake Charles, for the offense of possession of controlled substance penalty group 1 between 1 and 4 grams. Fontenot was transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center and released into the custody of the Jail Staff.
