Arrest made in Hallettsville

According to a report from the Hallettsville Police Department

On Wednesday August 9, 2023 at 1932 hours, an HPD officer conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 Blk E Fourth St for a traffic violation.
During a probable cause search, a loaded handgun, marijuana, and Psilocybin mushrooms were located inside the vehicle within a 1,000ft of Hallettsville Highschool.
The adult female driver (21) of Hallettsville was arrested for unlawful carry of a weapon, possession of marijuana in a drug free zone, and possession of a controlled substance-PG2. The adult female was booked into the Lavaca County Jail.
