Theft at Pilot Store in Schulenburg

On Tuesday, July 18th at approximately 7:45pm, Officers with the Schulenburg Police Department received notice that a theft just occurred at Pilot. Caller advised the suspects left Pilot in an older model white van.
Officers quickly located the vehicle and a traffic stop was conducted on IH10 west bound near the 674 mile marker. There were 8 suspects in the vehicle.
After reviewing security footage it was learned that all suspects stole items from the Pilot. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed several stolen items and marijuana.
One suspect was released to Fayette County EMS and transported to the hospital for previous injuries. Changes will be pending.
After the investigation, 7 of 8 suspects were arrested on charges consisting of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Theft, Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, Fugitive Intent to Give False Information and a Warrant for Failure to Appear out of Webb County.
