City of La Grange to close roads for repairs

The City of La Grange wis giving notice of road repairs at the intersection of Highway 71 Business and Washington St next week on Tuesday, August 18th, from approximately 6 am to Noon. To complete the work safely, the eastbound lane of Highway 71 Business will be closed between Main St and Highway 77, with traffic transitioning to one-way. Additional closures will take place along S Washington St down to Crockett St, and at the intersection of N Washington St and Highway 71 Business. Though S Washington St will be closed off to traffic, the Public Parking Lot will remain accessible from Crockett St.
Motorists are encouraged to allow for extra travel time, use an alternate route when possible, and follow all posted traffic control devices.
