Hay Baler Fire in Mullins Prairie

Sheriff Keith Korenek reports on Wednesday afternoon around 4:08 pm the Fayette County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting a hay baler on fire on FM 155 near Mullins Prairie. The La Grange Fire Department was notified and responded to the scene along with Deputy Wesley Arrison. Upon Arrival the New Holland 688 Hay Baler had heavy fire damage. The fire was quickly contained and there were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is believed to be from bearings that overheated.
