Vehicle Fire results in Arrest

Recently, at approximately 2:23 am, Schulenburg Officers responded to a hotel in the 200 block of IH-10 Frontage Rd. for a report of a vehicle fire.
It appeared as if the fire had been set intentionally from the interior of the vehicle. During the course of the investigation the registered owner admitted to intentionally lighting his own vehicle on fire and prior to police arrival had pointed a handgun at another individual who arrived to check on him.
Christopher Bourgeois (41), of Hitchcock, TX, was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon then transported to the Fayette County Jail.
