Lee County Sheriff's conduct targeted Open Air Narcotics Operation

On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, the Lee County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division, in conjunction with the Lee County Sheriff's Office Special Response Team (SRT), and Lee County Constable Precinct 2 conducted a targeted open-air narcotics operation known as Operation Dirty Laundry.
The operation focused on a laundromat located on N. Knox St. in Giddings, Lee County, Texas that had been identified through ongoing investigations as a meeting place where illegal narcotics transactions were being conducted openly. It is important to note that the business associated with this location was not involved in any criminal activity and was being utilized by criminal offenders as a meeting spot without the knowledge of the owners, employees, or patrons.
As a result of the operation, investigators arrested five (5) individuals on charges including:
Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine),; and
Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, a First-Degree Felony.
The individuals arrested were identified as:
Lyheng Dean of Giddings
Chris Wolridge of Giddings
Pete Guevara of Giddings
Courtnee Huff of Giddings
Quinton Bailey of Giddings
The investigation revealed that the individuals involved were not acting independently, but were working in concert to facilitate the distribution of illegal narcotics. Evidence gathered during the operation demonstrated a coordinated effort among the suspects to engage in criminal activity, resulting in the additional charge of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.
