Vehicle Entrapment in Columbus

Around 10:00 a.m. Feb 9th, the Columbus Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on IH-10 eastbound near Columbus, reported as a vehicle under an 18-wheeler with entrapment.
Upon arrival, crews found a passenger vehicle wedged between an 18-wheeler and a concrete barricade. The incident occurred in an area where traffic was backed up due to a disabled vehicle in the lane of travel. Firefighters were able to safely access the vehicle and extricate the driver through a window.
