Pursuit Leads to Felony Arrest

On Thursday, January 29, at approximately 9:11 am, Officers observed a vehicle with no license plates being displayed traveling north in the 900 block of Herder Ave.
Officers caught up to the vehicle at the intersection of Herder Ave. and US Hwy 90 and attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle. The vehicle instead accelerated eastbound onto Hwy 90 and a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit reached speeds in excess of 130 MPH before the vehicle came to a stop just inside of Colorado County.
As the driver exited the vehicle and was taken into custody, he revealed his young daughter was in the vehicle with him. The child's mother showed up a short time later and took custody of the child. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and a usable amount of Marijuana was located.
Treyvon Phillips (27), of Schulenburg was arrested.
