Schulenburg Volunteer Fire Department reports that on Tuesday, January 20th at 11:30pm tones sounded for a structure fire in town. The home owner was able to evacuate the residence unharmed. Units arrived on scene and were able to do a quick interior attack as well as an exterior attack and brought the fire under control. The home sustained major damage but much of the personal contents were saved. Schulenburg PD, Fayette County Sheriff’s Dpt, and Fayette County EMS Medic 4 assisted with this fire.
