House Fire in Weimar

The Weimar VFD was paged to the 200 block of North Eagle street for a structure fire at 1:22 pm on Wednesday, January 14th. Upon arrival, the first arriving officer found the single story wood frame structure fully engulfed in flames. The Columbus Volunteer Fire Department was called upon for an additional pumper and manpower. Firefighters worked to bring the blaze under control. Strong north winds and heavy smoke made it difficult to attack but firefighters managed to bring it in check. Everyone that was inside the structure at the time the fire broke out managed to escape with one minor injury due to a fall. The structure was a total loss. Big thanks to the Columbus Volunteer Fire Department for responding with extra manpower, Colorado County EMS, Weimar PD, Colorado County Sheriffs office, DPS, City of Weimar utilities.
