High Speed Pursuit puts Weimar ISD on Lockdown

On Wednesday, around 9:00 a.m., the Colorado County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) received information regarding a vehicle pursuit traveling westbound on I-10 that originated in Harris County.
CCSO, Columbus PD, Weimar PD, and DPS all had units on standby in case the vehicle exited the interstate. Multiple calls were received reporting possible sightings, but no agency ever had direct visual contact with the suspect vehicle.
As a precaution, WISD briefly enacted their SECURE protocol. At no point was there an active threat to the Weimar community. The suspect vehicle continued westbound on I-10 & the vehicle was not located.
