Drug Arrest in Schulenburg

On Monday, September 22, 2025, at approximately 12:31 am, Schulenburg Officers stopped a 2009 Mercedes-Benz C300 for multiple traffic offenses on IH-10 westbound near MM 672.
While speaking with the occupants Officers smelled a strong odor of Marijuana coming from the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted resulting in the discovery of Marijuana and a loaded handgun with an extended magazine.
The driver, Demarea Reid (22), of San Antonio, was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon then transported to the Fayette County Jail for booking.
