Missing Person Investigation

This info is from the Bastrop County Sheriff's Office, a 47 year old male was reported missing by family from his residence on Hwy 95 North near Bastrop. It was reported that after taking a shower the man left his residence only wearing a pair of pants the prior day and had not returned. No Foul play was suspected.
On Monday, during the investigation a lead was developed in the case and investigators coordinated a search to be conducted near the missing man's residence in a wooded area. The search team was gathered and a search was conducted via on ground searchers with a description of the pants worn by the missing man. It was suspected that the missing man could be experiencing a medical emergency so a more extensive search effort was being coordinated by the Sheriffs Office during this time.
Department of Public Safety (DPS) air service was contacted to assist in the search effort with a helicopter. The missing man was located in a creek bed in a heavily wooded area at approximately 4:39pm. The man was alive and asking for water but needed immediate medical attention. The man was transported out of the creek bed and taken to an ambulance nearby with the assistance of ESD 2 Fire Crews. He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment shortly after and is expected to make a full recovery.
