Drug Arrest in Lavaca County

On the afternoon of Saturday August 16, an Lavaca County Sheriff's Office patrol deputy conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of SH 111 and US HWY 77S for an equipment violation.
After a roadside investigation, an adult female was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant out of Jackson County.
A probable cause search was then conducted and approximately 5.5 grams of methamphetamine, 30 Xanax pills, and 17 Trazodone pills were located concealed inside the vehicle.
Ultimately, 3 occupants who reside in Jackson County were all arrested and transported to the Lavaca County Jail.
Further investigation revealed that the 3 arrestees were on the way to a birthday party.
