Reckless Driving Arrest in Weimar

Recently, Weimar Police Department, Sgt. Ellis responded to a report of a reckless driver on I-10, traveling eastbound. A second 911 caller reported that the vehicle had spun out into the grass before re-entering the roadway via the south frontage road and continuing eastbound.
Sgt. Ellis located the vehicle traveling at speeds more than 90 mph on the south frontage road as it approached a dead end near Hattermann Lane. The driver swerved around the dead-end sign, drove through the grass, and re-entered the I-10 main lanes.
A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver was taken into custody without incident. The driver was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and Driving While License Invalid (DWLI) with No Insurance.
