Reckless Driving Arrest in Weimar
Recently, Weimar Police Department, Sgt. Ellis responded to a report of a reckless driver on I-10, traveling eastbound. A second 911 caller reported that the vehicle had spun out into the grass before re-entering the roadway via the south frontage road and continuing eastbound.Sgt. Ellis located the vehicle traveling at speeds more than 90 mph on the south frontage road as it approached a dead end near Hattermann Lane. The driver swerved around the dead-end sign, drove through the grass, and re-entered the I-10 main lanes.
A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver was taken into custody without incident. The driver was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and Driving While License Invalid (DWLI) with No Insurance.
