Driver Arrested in Counterfeit Money investigation

On Hwy 71 westbound near Halstedt Rd, Fayette County Deputies located and stopped a vehicle that was suspected in the commission of passing counterfeit money within the city limits of Columbus, at a local business.
The driver was detained and the vehicle and driver were turned over to the Columbus Police Department for their investigation.
Assisting on the scene was the Fayette County Narcotics Unit, Texas Parks and Wildlife, and Texas DPS.
