Man wanted after evading on foot

On June 20, a Milam County Sheriff's Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a subject identified as Colby Martinez. During the traffic stop, Martinez evaded in the motor vehicle and then on foot. Martinez, a Rockdale native who is currently on parole, fled into a wooded area on County Road 470. From there, Martinez entered the river, disabled his court ordered ankle monitor and continued to evade law enforcement. Assets, including drones and a Texas Parks and Wildlife helicopter were deployed. Martinez was not located. Law enforcement will remain in the area. If you see Colby, please contact law enforcement. Do not attempt to apprehend.
