Fraudulent Check leads to Drug Arrest
Recently Schulenburg Officers were dispatched to Fayette Savings Bank in reference to an individual attempting to cash a fraudulent check. A witness on scene advised the suspects were getting into a black passenger car.SPD Officers quickly arrived and made contact with the suspects attempting to leave the parking lot. The suspect informed Officers she was trying to cash a check for her mom, but the bank denied her.
Officers conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle in which Officers located a THC vape, heroin and drug paraphernalia. Officers also located a purse, driver's license, credit card, & checks that did not belong to any of the suspects. Some items were reported stolen out of Flatonia.
Leslie Myers (43), of Spring, was arrested for Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information & Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.
Caitlyn Braden (17), of Spring was arrested for Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.
Ashton Hamm (23), of Houston, were all arrested for Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.
All were transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center for booking.
This investigation is ongoing.
