The City of LaGrange has released the following statement. It has come to our attention that due to illegal disposal of paint and primer cans in the regular trash containers, Waste Management had a fire in their trash truck on Tuesday. They then had to return to Austin, so they missed picking up all of their route on Tuesday. They began the route on Thursday, but the truck again malfunctioned. The representative of Waste Management has assured staff that they will be sending out a truck on Friday and Saturday to pick up those customers that have been missed on Tuesday, Thursday, and early Friday.
