Lee County Sheriff's Office Investigating Threat reported to Dimebox ISD

On the evening of April 15, 2025, following normal business hours, the Lee County Sheriff's Office received a report concerning a potential threat to student safety at the Dime Box Independent School District.
According to initial information, several students overheard another student making statements about bringing a firearm to school on or about April 16, 2025.
In response to these reports, the Lee County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division initiated an active investigation to determine the credibility and source of the threat.
Additional law enforcement presence may be seen in the area as a precautionary measure.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office takes all threats to school safety seriously.
