Car Chase in Giddings

Early Yesterday morning, a Lee County Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a violator vehicle on Hwy 77 North for failing to yield for a school bus.
The violator, failed to yield to the Deputy's emergency vehicle with red/blue lights and siren activated. A 70 mile per hour pursuit continued into the city of Giddings, where the Giddings Police were set up to deploy tire deflation devices.
The violator's tires were successfully deflated, and the violator was transported to the Lee County Sheriff's Department. This event concluded on Hwy 77 in the area of the GISD campuses. There was NO danger to the public.
