Recently, Corporal Ellis of the Weimar Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle in front of the Weimar Golf Course. Cpl. Ellis observed the vehicle failing to maintain a single lane and driving on the shoulder of Highway 90. Ellis initiated a traffic stop and observed the driver displaying signs of intoxication. A field sobriety test was completed, and the driver was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. The driver was transported to the Colorado County Jail without incident.
