LaGrange High School won the district 22-4A Academic Contest Saturday at Blinn College in Brenham. LaGrange had a total of 519 points to finish 1st. Giddings was 2nd with 375 followed by Bellville in 3rd with 335 points. Smithville was 4th followed by Caldwell and Navasota. The top individual finishers in each event qualify for the regional academic contest on April 25th and 26th at Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches.
