Cold Case Reopened in Giddings

An Unsolved Case is being reopened in Giddings. According to the Giddings times and news, the case involves a child whose Skeletal remains were discovered between Giddings and LaGrange. That area is now known as the South 40 RV Park on the East Side of Highway 77. 50 Years ago, it was a wooded area known as a roadside park. On September 7th, 1975 a family was having a picnic at the park when a family member located a green bag and the bag contained human remains. Lee County Sheriff Garrett Durrenberger has announced that he is hoping that today's technology could help in solving the mystery.
