Milan County Sheriff Investigates Rockdale School Threat

The Milam County Sheriff's Office began investigating an incident 8pm Thursday, October 24th, after a threat was made on a school webpage associated with Rockdale High School by an anonymous user. Sheriff Mile Clore said the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the United States Secret Service Assisted in tracking down the IP address used to make the threat and warrants were obtained related to the IP address, A user for that IP address was identified as a Rockdale Highschool Teacher. Investigators interviewed that teacher on campus, where it was admitted the threat had been made. That teacher was arrested. Clore said Rockdale ISD is cooperating with the investigation and the partnership between his office and the district is strengthened thanks to their priorities toward school safety.
