Violence Arrest in Schulenburg

On Wednesday, September 11, at approximately 4:02 pm, Schulenburg Officers responded to a residence in the 700 block Kallus St. for a report of a disturbance.
Officers arrived and spoke with the victim who stated she had been assaulted by her friend and had also had her phone taken away from her when she attempted to call 911 the first time. The suspect was found hiding in a bedroom closet.
Crystal Burleson (38), of Bryan, was arrested for Assault Family/Household Member wPrev Conv, Interfere w/Emergency Request for Assistance, and a warrant out of Harris County charging her with Terroristic Threat of Family/Household.
She was transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.
