Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that on Tuesday afternoon around 5pm, the Fayette County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting a male subject stole a chainsaw from Tractor Supply in LaGrange and left walking towards Sutherland Lumber. The LaGrange Police Department Officers Haynie and Anderson responded to the scene. Law Enforcement was advised the male subject got into a grey truck and headed west bound on St.Hwy 71. Deputies and Narcotics Officer attempted to locate the truck and did on Old Lockhart Rd. traveling west bound just past St.James Church Rd. when a traffic stop was conducted by Deputy Jared Michalec. Deputy James Ulbig and a Narcotics unit arrived and assisted Michalec. The truck was occupied by two males which one admitted taking the chainsaw and a small inverter. Arrested was the driver 37 yr old Johnny Pantallion of LaGrange and 26 yr old James Crysup of Smithville. Both subjects were transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center and charged with Theft of Property.
