Home Burglary Arrest in West Point
Last week, at approximately 8pm, Deputy Wesly Arrison was dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of West Point Loop in West Point in reference to a burglary in progress. Deputy Jason Fowler responded to assist.The property owner reported seeing someone inside of a residence on a camera. The neighbor also reported seeing a female with purple hair running away from the residence.
Deputies located a running vehicle behind the house after clearing the residence. Then, another vehicle was seen leaving the area. The driver of this vehicle told law enforcement she had been called by a friend to come pick her up. Deputies located the friend who had called for a ride. She was eventually identified as Tracy Forester (44) of Smithville. She was sweating profusely and had numerous cuts on her legs as if she had fled through the woods from the scene. She also matched the description that was given to law enforcement.
She initially gave the Deputies a false name, claiming to be her sister. She also had an active felony warrant for her arrest. She was arrested for burglary of a habitation and the warrant, she was subsequently charged for Failing to Identify- Fugitive from Justice. She was transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center in LaGrange without incident. The vehicle that was left behind at the residence was seized and during an inventory of the vehicle, numerous items were located that are suspected to be stolen. Her identifying information was also found in the vehicle.
