Vehicle Pursuit in Schulenburg

On Saturday, June 29, at approximately 7:55 pm, Officers were made aware of a pursuit initiated by Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers coming into the county from Gonzales County.
Officers responded to the emergency turnaround near Schulenburg and set up a tire deflation device “spikes”. The vehicle, a gray in color Dodge Challenger, was successfully spiked as it passed Officers.
The subject was taken into custody without incident. It was learned the driver’s 8 year old son was in the backseat of the vehicle during the pursuit.
