DWI Arrest in Schulenburg

On Sunday, March 24, at approximately 10:20 pm, Officers responded to IH-10 WB for a report of a vehicle taking up both lanes of travel.
The vehicle was described as a gray in color Honda passenger car. Officers observed the vehicle pass then got behind it. After observing the vehicle commit a traffic violation, a stop was conducted.
Contact was made with the driver and multiple signs of possible intoxication were observed. Standard Field Sobriety Tests were administered and the subject was found to be intoxicated.
Jahjuan Davenport (26), of Hockley, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. A search of the vehicle was conducted due to drug paraphernalia being in plain view. A loaded firearm and marijuana were located.
Jahjuan Davenport was additionally charged with Unlawful Carrying a Weapon and Possession of Marijuana then transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.
