Sheriff Keith Korenek reports on Sunday afternoon around 2:47 PM the Fayette County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting a structure fire on FM 154 near Davis Rd. The LaGrange Fire Department and Muldoon Fire Department were notified and responded to the scene along with Deputy Joe Gonzales and EMS Medic Unit 3. Muldoon Fire Chief Stephen Kelly requested Mutual Aid from the Flatonia Fire Department who were notified and responded to the scene. It was reported heavy smoke and fire in the attic upon arrival. The fire was contained to the home which was a total loss and there were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire was undetermined at that time of the fire. Muldoon Fire Department cleared the scene around 5:45 PM. Emergency Management Coordinator Angela Hahn was notified and requested assistance for the family from Red Cross.
