Sheriff Keith Korenek reports on Wednesday evening around 6:17pm the Fayette County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting a structure fire on Wied Rd. off Sandrick Rd. in the Rutersville Area. The LaGrange Fire Department was notified and responded along with Fayette County EMS Medic Unit 1, EMS 3, and Fayette County Deputy Wesley Arrison. Upon arrival it was reported a trailer home was on fire and the occupants were out. The LaGrange Fire Department requested assistance from the Fayetteville Fire Department were notified and responded to the scene. The fire was contained and extinguished with no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is undetermined.
