On Tuesday, October 10th, a Hallettsville Police Officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a Toyota Camry for a traffic violation in the 600 Blk S Main St. The driver of the vehicle refused to stop and led HPD on a vehicle pursuit through the South end of the city. The Driver came to a stop in the 800 Blk S Promenade, exited the vehicle and fled on foot but was quickly apprehended by Hallettsville Police Department. The adult male (51) of Hallettsville was arrested for evading in a vehicle, evading on foot, and driving while license invalid with prior conviction. He was booked into the Lavaca County Jail.
