The First Friday ArtWalk, a free monthly event on Friday October 6th from 6pm-9pm, along Main Street in Historic Downtown Bastrop is the start of a month-long celebration commemorating the 100-year old triple arch steel bridge known as the Old Iron Bridge . The theme of the First Friday Artwalk is "Bastrop Love- Celebrate Our Bridge" and is billed as an evening filled with musical and visual performances, classical and contemporary artwork, and historical insights and community unity that showcase the iconic bridge.
