An Indiana Man has been sentenced in Giddings. 28 year old Aaron Akins of Indianapolis Indiana was sentenced to 23 years of prison for his part in an armed robbery holdup of the Cricket Wireless Store in Giddings. In late January of 2021, Giddings Police were called to the Wireless Store in the Giddings Plaza. A Worker at the store testified that Aaron Akins pulled a gun on her in the back of the Store. She testified that he stole cell phones and cash. The Giddings Police were able to get a description of the Vehicle the suspect drove off in. Police in Brenham located the vehicle and Aaron Akins was arrested and charged.
